Pasco Kids First

The Grants and Contracts Compliance Manager has responsibility for ensuring that all grants and
contracts awarded to the agency are monitored and fulfilled as required. This includes the timely
and accurate collection and reporting of data deliverables, producing of productivity and fiscal
reports, preparation of and submission of invoices for billing, providing documentation to meet
contract requirements and annual monitoring/quality assurance and serving as a liaison to various
funding entities. This is a “glue” position and candidate must be highly organized and efficient as
all program data, deliverables, and fiscal invoicing are pulled together through this position. The
candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a nonprofit or governmental agency managing
complex public and private grants as well as county, state and federal contracts.

About Pasco Kids First

Pasco Kids First, Inc. was launched in 1989 to keep kids safe and strengthen families through the
assessment and treatment of child abuse and neglect. The agency is the Children’s Advocacy
Center (CAC) for Pasco County operating both Child Protection and Trauma Therapy teams as well
as the Healthy Families program which serves both Pasco and Hernando counties. PKF is an
accredited member of the National Children’s Alliance. The organization currently has over 40
employees, and a budget surpassing 3.5 million dollars.

Overview of Position

Core duties of the Grants and Contracts Compliance Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with Program Directors and other staff to collect data, deliverables and fiscal
    information in preparation for monthly and/or quarterly invoicing
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely invoices to various funding entities
  • Maintain funder matrix to keep accurate tabs on report and invoice due dates, award
    ceilings, invoice payables/receivables and other relevant contract data
  • Collect program data and produce reports for use in program enhancements, mission
    moments and advocacy efforts
  • Work with Program Directors, Director of Development and Director of Finance on the
    creation of program budgets and overall agency budget
  • Serve as the liaison between agency and funder contract management to ensure positive
    and collaborative working relationships
  • Keep accurate and tidy records of all grants, contracts and applicable awards
  • Assist or lead funder annual monitoring/quality assurance visits
  • Research new grant and contract funding opportunities to support agency

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in business, accounting, statistical analysis, contract management
  • Minimum 3 years of direct contract management experience; nonprofit preferred
  • Experience working with programs, contracts or grants from the Florida Department of
    Health, Department of Children and Families, Office of Attorney General (CVC, VOCA)
  • Experience working with the reporting, tracking and audit requirements for government
    contracts and multi-lateral grants (both public and private)
  • Experience in agency or program budget development and management, tracking
    AP/AR and other budget data
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required;
    additional Microsoft Office experience required
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Deadline and detail oriented. Excellent time-management skills are crucial
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and assertiveness skills
  • Must be able to pass a level II background screening

Additional Position Information

While this position is based in our New Port Richey office, a hybrid (office/remote) schedule will
be considered for qualified candidates. Travel to meetings, conferences and satellite offices is
minimal but expected. Salary Range: $50,000 – $55,000 and is based on candidate experience.
