pasco kids first eastside graduate

The Healthy Families Pasco-Hernando Eastside team held their annual family Graduation and holiday feast at the Dade City Women’s Club. Ten families were recognized for their accomplishments and working toward self-sufficiency while successfully completing the program. Senator Wilton Simpson joined the event to share words of congratulations and to serve dinner to the families. The event was made possible thanks to community supporters including Staywell, the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity, Pasco Hernando Early Learning Coalition and Jim Simms.

The children also enjoyed making an ornament photo craft to put their picture with Santa who surprised them at the event.  The Westside Team also held a Brunch with Santa, on Tuesday, December 16th at St. Marks Presbyterian Church. Approximately 180 kids and adults were in attendance who enjoyed an egg, ham and pancake breakfast served by State Representative Amanda Murphy and Senator Wilton Simpson. The kids listened intently to the reading of Twas’ the Night Before Christmas before Santa arrived to take individual pictures with kids on his lap while the elves deliver gifts thanks to teachers part of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity, Bene’s International School of Beauty and Amanda Moore.
