Mike Trepper CEO and President of Pasco Kids First INC

Mike Trepper- President & CEO

Mike’s professional experience spans twenty-five years and is known as a passionate leader in community development and children and youth advocacy work. His practice and commitment to ensuring that all people grow up safe, healthy and are provided opportunities to reach their full potential has been nationally recognized and is routinely tapped as part of consultative work with school districts, nonprofit and community groups and government entities.

Maria Hixon – Director of Development

Maria brings over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector to her role as Director of Development. She specializes in creating and implementing resource and fund development plans that assist nonprofits in achieving their mission. She oversees the community outreach, unrestricted and annual giving program, corporate and foundation relations, and the social media, marketing, and special events for Pasco Kids First.

Douglass Hasell, M.D. – Medical Director

Doctor Hasell graduated from The University of California, Santa Barbara in 1982. Deciding that he wanted to become a Pediatrician and not a marine biologist as originally planned, he graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1987 and headed back out to California for his Pediatric residency at the University of California, Irvine. It was here that he met his lovely wife who is also a pediatrician.

Diane York

Diane York – Clinical Director of the Trauma Treatment Program

Diane York, MSW; LCSW originally joined Pasco Kids First in 2003 as the only Trauma Therapist and Victim Advocate. She left the agency in 2007 to focus on her family and continue to grow her clinical skills but returned to Pasco Kids First as a Trauma Therapist for the Trauma Treatment Program in 2013. Diane graduated from the University of South Florida in 2000 with a Masters in Social Work and Bachelor of Arts concentration in Psychology and received her Department Of Health State of Florida License in Clinical Social Work in May of 2004. Diane is a Qualified Clinical Supervisor in the state of Florida and has experience supervising MSW Interns. Diane has over twenty years of experience providing therapeutic services to children and families who have experienced traumatic abuse, neglect, separation, and grief.

Jon Wisenbaker – Program Manager Child Protection

Jon Wisenbaker, M.S. graduated with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University in 1993. He has been working for the Child Protection Team for the last 20 years and has been a supervisor since 2001. He continues to serve as a member of the DOH Statewide Quality Assurance team, providing peer review to CPT’s across the state. He also serves on Florida’s Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers as a board member.

Atiya Spellman – Healthy Families Pasco-Hernando-Program Manager

Atiya Spellman is a graduate of Stockton University with a BA in Sociology & Anthropology and a minor in African American Studies. She is an Infant Mental Health Specialist, certified in infant massaging, and a certified car seat technician. Atiya began her career with home visitation in 2006 in New Jersey as a Program Manager from its inception. In 2016, Atiya joined Pasco Kids First as a Supervisor of the Hernando Team.

David Velazquez – Director of Operations and Employee Experience

David joined Pasco Kids First in 2014 as a Child Protection Specialist with the Child Protection Team where he worked to ensure the welfare of children in Pasco County by providing thorough assessment services and court testimony. In early 2022, David transitioned to a role as People Operations Coordinator and in 2024, was promoted to Director of Operations and Employee Experience where he continues his work in strengthening the overall employee experience and the agency. David holds a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology.
