Child Protection Team

Who We Are:

• A team of child abuse specialists who assist in the assessment of abuse and neglect.
• A network of doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists and other professionals offering services to alleged victims of abuse.

What We Do:

• Provide medical services and exams to identify physical findings of abuse, neglect, or sexual abuse.
• Conduct forensic interviews and psychological assessments of children to further document reports of abuse.
• Offer counseling to children and families who have been identified as victims of abuse.
• Offer community education and awareness activities related to child abuse and neglect.

• More than 4,000 abuse reports reviewed yearly
• Nearly 900 cases opened yearly
• More than 400 medical exams performed yearly
