Healthy Families Pasco-Hernando Graduate Families
On April 12th, the Healthy Families Pasco-Hernando Westside Team held a special Graduation at their Hudson Office for nine families. Fifty-seven adults and 41 children attended the ceremony to honor the Graduates and their successes toward achieving self-sufficiency. The evening was kicked off with words of inspiration by Pasco County Commissioner Jack Mariano. The Emcee Glenn Hanff introduced each Resource Mom who home visited the families for the last 4-5 years. The Resource Mom proudly announced the family’s accomplishments and presented them with a Graduation Certificate and gift of a children’s book, Wal-mart gift card, balloon and flower. The Graduates shared how Healthy Families provided them with parenting education, goal setting and problem solving skills to overcome challenges. All of the guests were served a hearty meal from Pitboss BBQ and enjoyed a delicious cake donated by Publix. The evening would not have been a success without the support of the community donors and volunteers including the Rotary Club of Trinity, Pit Boss BBQ in Spring Hill, Scott McPherson, PA, Windsong Charters, Healthy Start Coalition, Junior Service League, Publix and the Katelyn Foundation.
